4-H International Exchange Advisory Committee

The International Exchange Support Committee will be comprised of a representative and diverse group of youth, volunteers, and staff with an interest in international education. The purpose of the committee includes the following:

• To provide support for the California International Exchange programs
• To increase interest in the California International Exchange programs
• To assist counties by acting as resources in their local area
• To make recommendations to Shannon Dogan, Associate Director of 4-H Program & Policy, sjdogan@ucdavis.edu, regarding international programs and policies
• Hold discussions confidential, so that decisions can be disseminated using appropriate protocol

Meeting Dates and Times:

Committee meets once a year in the fall.  Anticipated location: State 4-H Office at UC Davis.  The meetings are from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Additional conference calls may be scheduled when issues arise that cannot wait until the next scheduled meeting.

Open recruitment for committee membership takes place every spring. 4-H members, recent alumni, 4-H adult volunteers, 4-H YDP program partners and collaborators, and county 4-H YDP staff are invited to apply.
