California 4-H camps rely on volunteers and often paid staff in the planning and delivery of programs. This includes young people as well as adults. It is important for all staff to be screened and properly placed, understand their role and responsibilities, and receive adequate training. It is also important for those responsible for filling paid positions to understand UC (University of California) policy for hiring and compensating employees.
In order to assess your awareness of the subject, a series of questions have been listed below. After you have completed this survey, or if you have taken this survey during this program year, please scroll to the bottom of the page. You will be directed to additional resources to help you expand your skills, knowledge and abilities in working with staff.
