What is the 4-H Difference?
There’s nothing else like 4-H
Weaving together tradition and innovation, 4-H has enriched the lives of generations of California's youth.
Through hands-on 4-H experiences, young people learn what it means to:
- explore projects that spark their passion and curiosity
- lead with integrity and heart
- give back to their communities
- reach their full potential
We take pride in involving professionals, parents, volunteers, and researchers in our work. Because of our partnership with University of California faculty and resources, 4-H is the only youth program with direct access to technological advances in agriculture and environmental sciences, engineering and technology, health and human development, and related areas.
California 4-H’ers are engaged in today’s most important issues:
- Science education
- Conservation and the environment
- Health and wellbeing
- Food science and world hunger
- Volunteerism and civic engagement
