CA 4-H International Exchange Advisory Committee

The International Exchange Support Committee is composed of a representative and diverse group of youth, volunteers, and staff with an interest in international education. The purpose of the committee includes the following:

  • To provide support for the California International Exchange Programs
  • To increase interest in the California International Exchange Programs
  • To assist counties by acting as resources in their local area
  • To make recommendations to the State 4-H Director regarding international programs and policies

Committee Member Responsibilities

  1. Meet once a year to support the upcoming international exchange
  2. Provide input and express ideas of constituents and stakeholders on various issues facing the international exchanges
  3. Serve as resource contacts in your county and region.  Provide information and presentations when opportunities arise.
  4. Complete action items assigned at meetings

Committee Membership

The International Exchange Support Committee will be composed of up to 18 members including youth, volunteers and state staff (see list below).

Meeting Dates and Times

Once a year in the Fall.  Anticipated location - the State 4-H Office, UC Davis.  The meeting will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Additional conference calls may be scheduled, when issues arise that cannot wait until the next scheduled meeting.
